Labour Day and The Met

Today was the Labour Day holiday and therefore the dancers had the day off. No one can really tell us why its a public holiday today but we do know that you cant wear white after today. seriously. no white after labour day.

We got up early to beat the crowds (well early for some) and headed to the Met. We had been told about an awesome changing exhibition Bamboo - which has climbers constantly changing and amending the structure in place. It will eventually look like a moving wave when it is completed in October.
The View from the Met roof - another awesome NY day.
Peekaboo!
I completely love this piece and the paintings behind it.
I recall, Central Park in Fall..
Jill and John.
Carol's gorgeous child Abigail
And little Sammy
A family portrait by the famous fountain (which always has the solitary couple around it in movies - actually packed in real life)
Central Park duck pond
Abigail under Alice in Wonderland.
Yeap I love him.

Sunset cocktails on the roof were the order of the afternoon, along with a fabulous mexican dinner. Perfect end to a perfect day.
