After leaving the place of the winds, we went next door to Jantar Mantar.
In India - nationals pay 5 rupees whilst tourists pay 50R.. and I actually get quite offended by this so attempted to make the ticket seller believe I was actually an Indian - a lily white, blue eyed, blond haired, albino one at that. Susan has a video where you can see us all in hysterics.
Then of course we hit the guide quarter - and due to our experience with the earlier guides I informed them that we weren't having a guide, of course this created great drama. I joked with the guy that I'd just take some pictures and come back to ask him what things were but of course he completely didn't agree with me.. and Susan ended up caving in and getting a guide who actually knew a hell of a lot about the place.
Its amazing here - built in 1724 it definitely is the work of a visionary. The sun dial tells the correct time within 2 seconds.
We had a guide who started out nice and funny, ended up cracking on to me and being rather inappropriate so he didn't get a 50c tip.
