This place is amazing, firstly - it's SO calm compared to bangalore - secondly we LOVE the hotel.. i did so good :)
We left the airport in Grandma Ferry's old car - it was such a blast - I felt like I was stepping back in time - and as I was laughing hysterically the driver started trying to assure me that 'car very safe madam, no need to worry'.. Buddy I know.. it's a TANK.. a tank which I attempted to drive at 17 and almost killed my poor grandma.
But back to the hotel - Not only does it have the most beautiful roof top bar overlooking the fort and the walled city (it also serves beer secretly shh) but on checkin the owner (Mr Singh) gave us this booklet on what we should do in - and its comprehensive - Ally would be so impressed.
The rooms are well appointed with TV, aircon, balcony, full sized fridge (which works unlike Bangalore), bathroom, comfy bed and the most beautiful decor I have seen. I could just stare at the ceiling all night. There is wireless internet (although tonight its down) and also a common room with high speed internet stations.
Did I mention the price? $10 each.. we're so happy we could actually stay here for the rest of the trip.
Pearl Palace Hotel - room 301 - I highly recommend it.

ABOUT PHOTONOMAD
Thanks to a couple of friends who constantly asked for help whilst planning their round the world hiatus - I decided to change update the blog. It now holds 1) my favourite pictures from the countries that I have visited and 2) travel tips, things i've learnt and places I've stayed in each town (along with pictures of the rooms of late).
It's also easier to load pictures here (instead of www.ferryphotography.com) whilst travelling in countries with less than desireable internet connections, places like Varanasi - where electricity drops out for 3 hrs every day and skyping sounds like you are underwater...
This is a work in progress as such, so please check back for those all places that you really want to see. Trust me .. they are worth it!

$20 for all that per night? Jeebus woman, you gotta keep this a secret! It's too good!
The free wifi at Bangalore airport was also down while i was there but i did find alcohol. Maybe it's only available in the international lounge areas? Gotta keep the freaked-out yanks drunk and sedated, that's for sure.
One other thing: PHOTOS?
